Papier mache (Technology on Papyrus)
What’s this stuff?
Guys….got bored of submitting the same old lab journals?
Hey guys…this is some cool event which involves creative thinking.
Are you an avid reader?  Do you get innovative ideas all the time?
Are you interested in how things work from inside?
Then let’s come on……… join the Papier mache….the ultimate paper presentation event.
The first thing to do is to select an ultimate idea…a topic that interests you a lot.
What’s next….what makes you waiting….. go ahead and search for it …Google….Wiki….Library…..Professors…..Websites……Seniors……Friends……. just go out and find what all the topic is all about. Then jot down all these points onto a paper.
So you gathered a lot of stuff about the topic. Now the ideas which you jotted down are all in random states. Hence comes the sorting of ideas and putting them under specific headings……
After all headings are made you have made you PAPER!!!! Haha….
But wait….your friends will tease you until you properly format it. The formatting is according to a standard. We use the most popular IEEE format. IEEE is an engineering body responsible for making standards.
After all that formatting is done(the rules are described below in the rules section), you finally verify it with your friends…professors…seniors….and then mail the soft copy to us.
Then comes the big wait about the selection. We distribute the papers which you have sent to us among a panel of judges who are knowledgeable about various topics. The evaluate your papers according to a pre-determined criteria.
When the results and out..and when your paper gets selected….you need to confirm your participation for the event. Then your event venue, date and time will be mailed accordingly.
Now you start focusing on the main event…THE PRESENTATION.
A presentation is a kind of talk you give to the judges and audience and try to tell your ideas to them. You make use of Microsoft Power point and give the slide show for 10 min. 6 min are best utilized for giving the details of your topic…………………….then a warning bell is rung…….TIN…………..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The last 2 min are better utilized for results , conclusion and future work and the references.
After your 8 min get over…a bell is rung…TIN TIN…… !!!!!!!!   !!!!!!!!!!!!
Now you stop.
Then the judges start firing questions at you……turr….dum….turrr..dum…..tar…tar….tar……
The firing shall continue for 2 min …non stop….(haha J )…..and you also need to fire back( yes…u liked it) ……and convince the judges that you are always right…..
If you succeed  …. You win…
All the best…..  Now open your think tank…..and start thinking……
